The "Holley Red" Standard Pressure Electric Fuel Pump is designed for street performance applications. It boasts a free-flow capacity of 140 gallons per hour and can maintain a 9 psi line pressure while flowing 120 gallons per hour. With a pre-set pressure of approximately 7 psi and a maximum pressure of 14 psi, it eliminates the need for a separate pressure regulator.
This pump is specifically designed for gasoline and is not compatible with alcohol or methanol fuels. It's also not recommended for use with fuel injection systems. Featuring an externally accessible pressure relief valve, it ensures safety and easy maintenance.
The pump incorporates a tumble-polished billet look and a lower housing casting designed for enhanced fuel flow and quiet operation. Drawing only 4 amps of current, it is efficient and recommended for use with a 7-1/2 amp fuse.
The Holley 12-815-1 Black Standard Pressure Electric Fuel Pump offers several advantages. Its rotor/vane pump design provides greater tolerance to contaminated fuels, and it delivers constant fuel flow with no pulsation. Weighing only 3 lbs and including a mounting bracket, it is compact and easy to install. Repair kits are readily available, and the pump can be serviced from the pump end.
Installation Note: This fuel pump should be mounted below the fuel level of the tank for a good gravity feed on the inlet side.
