EMPI VW Carburetor Kit, 48mm EPC, Dual, Round Bar Style Linkage
EMPI's answer to the famous IDA carburetors comes in the form of the 48 EPC carburetor. 48 EPC Carburetors featuring a pre-drilled 3 progression ports and an enlarged float bowl. 48 EPC carburetor kits include Carburetors, Manifolds, Linkage, Installation Hardware and Gaskets. All 48 EPC carburetor parts are interchangeable with the Weber 48 IDA carburetor.
Installation Note: 48 EPC Carburetors are supplied with the following jets installed, Idle Jet - 70, Main Jet - 135, Air Jet - 120, Venturi - 37mm. This kit also includes a second set of jets to help with tuning(Idle Jet - 65, Main Jet - 150, Air Jet - 190). May NOT fit with stock fan shroud without modification. May require some modifications to fit early engine bay.
Application Note: This is considered a universal part and can fit many different applications based on modifications to the vehicle. Will NOT work on Bus with Type 4 engine or Type 3 with pancake style engine. Some Beetles between '75-'79 were fuel injected.
