Web Cams have been race proven for years, and provide reliable horsepower at all power ranges. This Web Cam grind 118 is designed for good mid and upper end performance for small displacement street engines using 1.1:1 rockers. It is recommended when using aftermarket camshafts to upgrade to dual valve springs and convert to a solid rocker shaft. Fits 12-1600cc Volkswagen based engines. Must use an early style oil pump designed for flat camshafts. Designed to be used with 1.1:1 rockers.

Installation Note: New camshafts should always be installed with new lifters(It is suggested to use the same brand lifter as your camshaft choice). Valve lash is shown for aluminum pushrods, if using chromoly pushrods or lash caps valve lash should be set to a loose .000" (.002-003" is also acceptable without lash caps). Lifter to Camshaft clearances need to be checked for proper installation. A minimum of .040" is needed. This should be checked between the nose of the cam lobe and the lifter seated in the lifter bore of the case. Spot facing the case lifter bores may be required. Fits 12-1600cc Volkswagen based engines. Must use an early style oil pump designed for flat camshafts.
