One of the best upgrades you can do for your Bug or Ghia is to convert the old drum brakes to disc brakes. Converting your vehicle from drum to disc is made simple with this true bolt-on kit. Featuring heavy duty stamped steel brackets that bolt directly to your stock drum brake spindles – then calipers to the brackets. This rotor comes with two lug patterns 5x130mm Porsche with M14-1.5 threaded holes and 5x4.75" Chevy with M12-1.5 threaded holes. Hardware is included. Wheel studs are not included. These kits will only work with stock-style, drum brake spindles.

Application Note: This is considered a universal part and can fit many different applications based on modifications to the vehicle. Application information is just for reference and not applicable to a stock vehicle configuration. Please verify your application before purchase to ensure this part is correct for your project. Requires 15″ wheels or larger. This kit will not work with 14″ wheels. THIS KIT CANNOT BE USED WITH DROPPED SPINDLES! You will need to reuse the original drum brake backing plate mounting bolts that are 10 X 18mm with a 15mm head.
Installation Note: WARNING! It is extremely important that brake lines be installed by a trained mechanic. Proper length of each line in relation to wheel travel and steering angle is critical to avoid brake failure. Equally important is brake lines must be free flowing and have no contamination. Additionally, all calipers must be bled properly, regardless of kit purchased. Do not attempt brake line or caliper installation without the experience to properly evaluate all of these issues.
